LTD Customs is the merch partner for Impulso Media, a Toronto digital agency founded in 2019: a Shopify Plus agency, Klaviyo email and SMS experts and paid ads specialists for ecommerce brands across Canada and the US. We make two things for them: Impulso's own house kit (a premium 5-panel snapback, a heavyweight hoodie, debossed leather coasters and embroidered pillows), and the campaign merch Impulso puts in front of its clients' customers.
It runs both ways. TEAMLTD, the brand behind LTD Customs, is on Impulso's client list. They help run our online marketing; we make their merch. That's a relationship where the merch has to be good, because we see each other's work every month.
The brief
An agency's merch has two jobs. It has to look like the agency, to its own team and to the clients who visit the studio. And it has to prove the agency has taste, because the same people are about to trust it with their brand.
Impulso's identity is one heavy, wide, all-caps wordmark in black, with a bright red (hex EB2C2B) and a warm cream as the supporting colours. No icon, no crest. That makes the job simple and strict at the same time: every product carries the same word, so the product itself has to do the work.
Ten hats, one front panel
A wordmark that is about eight times wider than it is tall is the hardest thing to put on a hat. Too small and it reads like a label. Too big and it wraps across the seams. So we built ten colourways of the same premium 5-panel snapback, cotton twill with a structured front, every one with the wordmark in raised 3D puff embroidery sized to the front panel.
The pick: 05, black crown, Impulso red brim, white 3D wordmark. The red stays on the brim, where it reads as a detail instead of a costume. White thread on black gives the wordmark the most contrast of the ten, so it reads from across a room. And it looks like a hat you'd buy, not a hat you were handed at a conference.
The house kit
Hats and hoodies are what the team wears. The rest of the kit lives in the studio and goes out as client gifts, so it has to work on a desk or a sofa for years, not one event.
- The hoodie: sand heavyweight fleece with a small left-chest wordmark in black. Big chest prints get worn to the gym; a small mark gets worn to meetings.
- Leather coasters: full-grain leather with stitched edges and the wordmark debossed, pressed into the leather with no ink. Tone on tone, so it looks like a coaster first and a logo second, and nothing rubs off under a coffee cup.
- Pillows: cream boucle with the wordmark embroidered in black, for the studio lounge and for the clients who keep one on their office couch.
Campaign merch for Impulso's clients
The bigger half of the work is what Impulso runs for its clients. These are real jobs from our records:
- October 2025: black non-woven tote bags with a 10-inch-tall logo for a hockey training brand.
- April 2026: tin camp mugs with a printed logo, and semi-structured snapbacks with a rope and a woven patch.
- August 2026: a national beverage brand's summer campaign. 5-panel snapbacks with a raised 3D embroidered front logo and an embroidered side logo, vintage ivory tees with a three-colour left-chest print and five- and six-colour back prints, and vintage mushroom hoodies.
The summer campaign had a hard launch date, so the hats shipped in two waves: part by rush air (about 4 weeks) so launch stock landed first, the rest by standard air (about 5 weeks). Same order, two dates, nobody waiting on the slow boat for the first event.
We first embroidered hats for Impulso in 2021, long before the campaign work. The hats came first. They usually do.
Who Impulso Media is
Impulso calls itself a culture-first digital agency, and the work backs it up. Founded in Toronto in 2019, it is a Shopify Plus and Klaviyo partner for direct-to-consumer brands, and reports more than $100M in email revenue and $150M in ad revenue generated for its clients. What they do:
- Klaviyo agency: email and SMS marketing, flows, campaigns and retention for Shopify brands.
- Paid social and paid ads: performance media on Meta, TikTok and Google, built on their own creative.
- Shopify ecommerce websites and Shopify Plus builds, from theme to launch.
- Ecommerce SEO and AI SEO and GEO, so a store shows up in Google and in AI answers.
- Conversion rate optimization (CRO), plus photo and video production, creative direction and influencer marketing.
Their client work includes East Coast Lifestyle, HockeyShot, 1000 Stories Wines and The Muskoka Sauna Co. If you are a Canadian ecommerce brand looking for a digital marketing agency in Toronto that understands product and culture, start with them. If you need the merch, that's us.
How the agency setup works
Impulso leads its client and the creative. We share the design work, then handle sourcing, production and delivery, and we invoice Impulso rather than the end client. The agency keeps the relationship and the margin on its own terms, and never has to explain to a brand manager why the hoodie came back thin.
One of Impulso's clients is a merch client of ours too. Read how we built The Muskoka Sauna Co's towels, felt sauna hats and sauna mats, or how a founder's deck became JUG canned water's first hats. More hat builds on custom hats in Canada, and every client story on our work page.

Questions
Who is Impulso Media?
Impulso Media is a Toronto digital agency founded in 2019: a Shopify Plus and Klaviyo partner that runs email and SMS marketing, paid ads, ecommerce SEO and CRO for direct-to-consumer brands in Canada and the US. LTD Customs makes its merch.
Can an agency order custom merch for its clients through LTD Customs?
Yes. With Impulso Media the agency leads the client and the creative, we handle design support, sourcing, production and delivery, and we invoice the agency, so the client relationship stays with the agency.
Can one merch order ship in two waves?
Yes. On Impulso's summer beverage campaign, part of the hat order shipped by rush air (about 4 weeks) so launch stock landed first, and the rest followed by standard air (about 5 weeks).
Can you put our logo on leather coasters?
Yes. We deboss it: the logo is pressed into the leather with no ink, so there is nothing to wear off. Impulso's wordmark runs across each coaster, tone on tone.
How do you fit a very wide wordmark on a hat?
We size it to the width of the front panel, not the height, and keep it off the seams. Impulso's wordmark is about eight times wider than it is tall, so it runs as one line of 3D puff embroidery across the front.
What is LTD Customs' minimum order?
Our minimum is 50 pieces. Stock hats and apparel take 2 to 3 weeks from mockup approval; fully custom hats take 4 to 6 weeks by air.
